Yorkshire Bank Protection Project
Falls Lake, Wake County, NC

Description:
This project consisted of the repair and restoration of an eroded lakeshore bank at the Yorkshire section of Falls Lake. Commissioned by the Wilmington district of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, this project also included the construction of a stable earthwork embankment incorporating a segmental retaining wall and articulating concrete block mat, with the planting of decorative shrubbery chosen to complement indigenous plant life. N-Powell Company acted as prime contractor on this competitive bid project.
